Spring into Wedding Season – Tips for Planning a Wedding

With Spring now in the air, and the last of the snow melted away, thoughts turn to the Summer – or wedding season! If you are planning a summer wedding, you will probably have already started to think about it and even organise some of it already. But there are a few helpful tips to assist you with organising your big day…

One of the main things to remember is that it is not too early to ever start planning. This gives you a longer period of time to budget for everything that you would like and work out what it is that you do want. If you remember something a few moths down the line, you will still have time to add it in, and it creates a much less stressful run up to the wedding day, with the emphasis on excitement rather than worry!

When it comes to your budget be realistic. It is not worth starting married life in a dire financial situation just so that you can have everything that you see in a celebrity magazine. Work out what is most important to you, and how you can find cheaper alternatives to other things. Starting early also means that you can book sought after services and locations – whether it is a much loved popular band that you desperately want at your wedding, or a particular photographer, such as Bournemouth wedding photographer http://www.nickrutterphotography.co.uk/ the more time that you have given yourself will help a great deal more when it comes to your budget.

Friends and family can also be invaluable when it comes to wedding planning – and they will always want to lend a helping hand. Whether you know an arty mate who can make you some beautiful centre pieces for the tables or have a family member that is a whizz in the kitchen, it not only makes the day more personal and special, but it will also save a lot of money too.

When it comes to looking your best, it is only natural to want to go that extra mile on the big day, but don’t overdo – you don’t want to walk down the aisle looking like someone else! Have a consultation with your make up artist and hairstylist beforehand, take in picture and discuss what it is that you want. The better that you get to know them the better it will be because they will get to know what your style is and what makes you feel comfortable. You don’t want to look back on your photos and not look like yourself!
